Into the Light is a project based around Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). This series of photographic images explores how those who struggle with the condition are impacted by a lack of light exposure.

From my personal experience in the Winter months when there is less daylight, I notice my mood tends to be lower, as opposed to the Summer months when everything is brighter and I feel more motivated to do things.

This work explores a strategic use of light within portraits. I have used the quality of tone and colour as a visual representation of how someone with SAD can feel.
