This body of work was inspired by my study of UN Women UK, an organisation who collated research confirming 97% of women in the UK have been sexually harassed. This ongoing series of portraits of women depicts the raw feelings of sexual harassment expressed through bold, graphic text. The words are drawn from interviews of these traumatic experiences and focus not on the trauma itself, but of what these survivors want their perpetrators to hear. This gives voice, agency and power back to these women, as well as a meaningful visibility of the impact and consequences such people sustain.
